“Workshop on additive and advanced manufacturing technologies and digitalization of production in the IPA area”
On November 26th, in the framework of AMTECH, which is a cross-border cooperation project, funded under the first CAPITALISATION SMALL-SCALE call of the INTERREG IPA SOUTH ADRIATIC 2021-2027 Program, was organized the “Workshop on additive and advanced manufacturing technologies and digitalization of production in the IPA area”. The initiative is aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs in the development of more sustainable and convenient products by introducing innovative Additive Manufacturing technologies, even in traditional sectors. The AMTECH program is focused on integrating these advanced technologies into the Albania, Italy and Montenegro industrial landscape, offering technical support, training, and access to cutting-edge resources for local businesses.
The Textile and Fashion Department at Polytechnic University of Tirana, Albania participated with a presentation on ““Enhancing SEEs Competitiveness in Additive Manufacturing, main challenges and opportunities”.
During this event Prof. Dr. Ermira Shehi presented an overview of the Digi4Wearables project including the practices and digital tools to improve the knowledge of workers in footwear companies in Albania and abroad, which perfectly was adapted to the main topic of this event.
Part of this activity were representatives from the industrial sector including garment and footwear companies, Minister of State for Entrepreneurship and Business Climate, Albanian Investment Development Agency, well-known startups operating in Albania, project partners from Montenegro and Italy.
