AMTECH Project 29 May 2025

On May 29, 2025, in the framework of AMTECH, which is a cross-border cooperation project, funded under the first CAPITALISATION SMALL-SCALE call of the INTERREG IPA SOUTH ADRIATIC 2021-2027 Program was organized the Final conference “Additive Manufacturing: Lessons Learnt & Perspectives in the IPA Cross-Border Area”.

The initiative is aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of SMEs in the development of more sustainable and convenient products by introducing innovative Additive Manufacturing technologies, even in traditional sectors. The AMTECH program is focused on integrating these advanced technologies into the Albania, Italy and Montenegro industrial landscape, offering technical support, training, and access to cutting-edge resources for local businesses.

The Textile and Fashion Department at Polytechnic University of Tirana, Albania participated with a presentation about DIGI4Wearables Project titled ““Learning needs relevant to the footwear industry in the DIGI4WEAREBLES consortium countries – Preliminary results of the European project DIGI4WEARABLES”.

Part of this activity were representatives from the industrial sector including garment and footwear companies, Albanian Investment Development Agency, well-known startups operating in Albania, project partners from Montenegro and Italy. It was a great opportunity to present the Digi4Wearables project and what it offers to support improve the knowledge of workers in footwear companies in Albania and abroad.
